this is what my aunt told me.. once an elder at the closing of the meeting said this about the revised reasoning book with a sarcastic voice.
"brothers and sisters don't forget to get your copy of the new reasoning book, it has over two hundred revisions!"..
my aunt swears he said it in a sarcastic mocking tone.. i thought it was funny so i had to ask if anybody else had similar stories..
I think the Governing Body is delaying revising the Reasoning book until they actually figure out what they believe.
How many changes have been made to the "generation" teaching since the Reasoning book was last revised in 1989? Why waste money printing new books if they can't figure out what they currently believe.
Well what the hell is it that makes you all so scared ? Its like YOU are jews living in nazi germany, but you are not, you wont be gassed and put into ovens, can someone please tell me why nearly all of you are terrified ?

One response I recently got from a JW relative to this question was, "I know we have the "truth" because we're the only ones involved in such a massive preaching work". What is the best counter response to this statement? I've got a few ideas of my own, but I'm curious what would be the most effective way to approach this statement?
Welcome burnedout. Whenever writing a long post for any forum I open a word document, type it there, use spell check and then copy and paste it to the forum. That way if the post doesn't go through for any reason you just copy and paste it again. I look forward to your story. I'm always curious to find out what event or doctrine causes a born-in to began to question the Watchtower.
